Verity’s own journey began in May 2021, when she underwent a gastric sleeve procedure after struggling with her weight for most of her life. Her motivation? Her children. “Not being able to run around with them or do the things I wanted because my size held me back was heartbreaking,” she shares. One moment, in particular, stood out: a trip to the fair where three attendants struggled to secure her in a ride. “That completely knocked my confidence—it was mortifying.”
Fast forward to today, and Verity’s life has been transformed. While she has faced challenges like body dysmorphia and losing friendships along the way, her achievements remind her daily that she’s on the right path. “I feel more like ‘me’ than I ever have before,” she says, with a glowing smile that reflects her hard work and resilience.
Why She Helps Others
